Customer Reviews

I bought the experience for my parents. They really enjoyed it and found the scenery beautiful. They were hoping to hear more about the fynbos and other plants - Petrus

What a fantastic time we had. Tour guide amazing, very knowledgeable. Lunch was out of this world. we were just sorry we got full. Well worth the money. Would recommend it highly to be done - Fiona

This is one of the best activities in the Garden Route. We are locals but always love the views. The food and the hike was fantastic! - Anneliese

What an amazing day! From where we booked to where we left - service and experience was amazing. The lady at the ticket office was super friendly and her service was unbeatable. We were then met by our friendly, vibrant local guide. Lovely boat ride to the reserve with the guide giving some insightful information about the area and the history of Knysna and surrounds. At the reserve we were met by more friendly staff, a quick leg stretch allowed us to enough time to use the immaculately clean bathroom and buy some water for the ride. A rather steep uphill walk brought us to the safari vehicle (people with walking problems should bare this in mind as they might not be able to walk to the vehicle). The drive up the mountain was spectacular, the views are breathtaking. Yet again the guide provided the guests with a great amount of information about the fauna and flora as well as the history of the reserve. The ride was comfortable and most enjoyable even for people with severe fear of heights. There is absolutely no need to panic. The optional hike down the mountain is a must, it is rather steep at places, so again for those with walking problems, rather drive back down again. The sea caves are amazing, don't forget your camera as the photo moments are endless. After the walk/ride down we had the most amazing lunch. The variety was unreal, the presentation, the taste.... no 5 star hotel could beat this alfresco hot and cold buffet. PLEASE - leave space for the desert, a feast for the eye and an unbeatable taste experience, from fresh fruit to chocolate mousse and everything in between. Sadly after lunch we had to leave. Again a lovely smooth boat ride. A quick drink at the lovely restaurant and then the choice of booking your sunset cruise. This is a "must do" when visiting the area. An unbeatable and unforgettable day. - Winterberg
